Tendring CAMRA has arranged with 44 real ale & cider pubs in the district to participate in a “passport” scheme. Collect a stamp on your passport at each participating pub that you visit between early April and the end of the Clacton-on-Sea Real Ale Festival (though leave enough time to get to the festival to redeem your passport).
- If you collect 8 or more, you can have free admission and festival glass(*) at the Clacton Real Ale & Cider Festival (August).
- If you collect 16 or more, you also get a free pint at the same festival
- If you collect 24 or more, you will get a further free pint at the same festival
- If you collect 32 or more, you will get a further free pint at the same festival and entry in a prize draw on the Saturday afternoon of the festival. The winner in 2025 was Mark Grindrod who won an engraved tankard.
(*) If festival glasses aren’t available a half pint of beer will be offered instead.
The passports will be available from the following participating pubs in late March, in time for Easter.
